(More customer reviews)I bought this direct from qvc about 3 months ago. it takes way longer to cook in than i would have thought. i have to cook a roast for an hour and 20 min just to get it even chewable (not fall apart tender like i would expect). i cooked some chicken parts for 20 minutes and it was just ok but not that tender. it takes forever to get up to pressure and sometimes it lets out a whistle sound that is so loud you can't hear yourself think. tonight i started cooking some beef stew at 5:30 pm and it is 8:00 and it's still not done. i had to stop and restart it several times because the whistling sound was deafening. i read lots of great reviews on this product so i was so excited. but it's getting to be a pain to use it and not fun to use. i still have hope for pressure cookers in general but this one has been disappointing.
